Overselling evolution has led to a rationalist’s nightmare

Overconfident reliance on evolution shifted many scientists to materialistic presuppositions after Darwin published in 1859.  Rationalists were cock-a-hoop, never imagining that they would fail to find a materialistic explanation for the origin of life.  But now they must face their worst nightmare.

Despite rationalistic TV extravaganzas, truth ‘will out’ in this internet age.  And the truth is that the theory of evolution has never explained the origin of life.

Darwin himself recorded that evolution does not explain how life could have originated from non-living matter.  He said:

“… it is no valid objection [to the theory of evolution] that science as yet throws no light on the far higher problem of the essence or origin of life.” [1]

So Darwin admitted that his theory was about species development – not about the origin of life itself, which he put aside as a higher problem that he hoped science might later resolve.

Presumably, that’s why Darwin did not call his book The Origin of Life.  His theory tackles the lesser problem that perhaps simple species may have transmuted into more and more complex species.  But even that lesser hope has now been dashed by information science as the next few sections demonstrate.

Mutations that lose information can’t create new, more complex species

The problem for evolutionists is that all observed mutations lose information.  So mutations can’t do what Darwin had hoped – they can’t provide the increased information needed to increase the complexity of species.

Materialistic beliefs are, therefore, the least likely explanation for origins.  But the nightmare is only going to get worse for rationalists.

The discovery that every living cell has a DNA molecule, which is a vast store of highly ordered information, is clear evidence that life was intelligently designed.  Rationalists ignore that DNA evidence, despite basing their Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) on the belief that information is evidence of intelligent beings.

Rationalism’s worst nightmare has been realised.  They have lost the one thing that propped up the materialistic claims of their religion – evolution.  That is why they are investing so heavily in deceitful TV propaganda on evolution.
